TSB Document:
Affected Component: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE (EGR VALVE)
- Summary
- Some 2018-2019 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.0L diesel engine built on or before 19-Oct-2018 may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTC P2457 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to missing or loose screws in exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system bypass module. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-08E. If no concerns are present with the bypass module screws, refer to the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual for normal diagnostics. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates.
