The first time the brakes locked up I was stopping for a red light. I was driving at the normal speed limit posted. Did not really pursue the matter, I just figured that it was a heavy truck. Had a 60,000 mile tune up at the dealer on 01/06/2014. Multi point inspection revealed brakes over 5 mm or 7/32(disc) over 2mm or 3/32(drum) which is stated on my invoice. The recall of the PWM, power train module was updated at no cost in March of 2011.
On 02/07/2014 I Drove into San Bernardino I had to perform a hard stop because the vehicle in front of me slammed on his brakes to avoid hitting the vehicle in front of him. My trucks ABS did not activate and my trucks brakes locked up and skidded into the right rear of another vehicle and the vehicle behind me skidded into my rear bumper. He was driving a Ford Ranger from 1994. Nevertheless my F350 should have stopped in time. The local dealership found no problems with the trucks brakes. I have had many Ford products in the past, I am hoping for a class action law suit to recoup my insurance increase after this first and only accident.
