The vehicle was taken to the dealer five times for the similar failure and repaired. The failure continued after the repairs were performed. Most recently, the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the air compressor was being replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 5,000. The VIN was unavailable.
2005 Ford 500, ac compressor stopped working at 63,000 miles, needs to be replaced, looking online and lot of Ford 500 owners have the same problem with low miles.
70 degree air blowing at idle and low speed. Lowers to 62 degrees at highway speed. No condensation draining thru condensate tube. Refrigerent evacuated and system charged with fresh 134.
