According to reports online this is a continuing problem. Just purchased for the wife because of the low miles - I see why it was traded in. Several complaints about rear brake wear . I will have to replace the rotors & the pads on the next service ! This car is getting expensive to own - May need to trade it in as it appears Ford doesn't care about the reliability of the vehicles they produce. They offered no help or assistance in the replacement of pads that are listed in their book that should last longer than 30k. Seems as long as they received the pay off, they are done with it and the problem is left in my driveway.
