Vehicle engine periodically shuts off while driving without warning. No codes. Almost experienced head on collision in the middle of busy bridge after steering and breaks stopped working. Managed to place engine in neutral real quick whereby engine re-started right away with no problem just avoiding a head on collision as my vehicle was crossing center line. Engine would never shut off when gas pedal was applied, only when foot was off gas. Prior to this ever happening the transmission was rebuilt by a licensed shop after torque converter failed. Also, a new alternator was installed along with new battery and camshaft synchronizer. Vehicle was taken back to licensed Transmission installer and checked. Found no problems. Vehicle was also taken back to licensed mechanic shop where they too could not find any thing wrong. I have driven only Ford products since 1975 whereby 4 were brand new off the lot. I have never purchase a Ford again.
