Our dashboard is buckling on the passenger side, airbag is...it is sticking up, and looks horrible...there is a recall for the airbag inflators, but no fix for that yet, and thought that this might be part of the problem...the dealer told me NO...this wasn't a issue with fords, which I don't understand that if there are customers out there and Ford don't want to fix this so their customers are happy people...I didn't cause this...I just drive it...it probably is the cheap materials they used for this model year, and they should take care of it...there are other problems also with the door handle cracked, the wrench lite coming on, and the anti skid brakes not working this winter when I went to brake a couple of times this winter....COME ON FORD...JUST FIX THESE ISSUES!!

Ok I loved this car when I bought it heated seats, navigation system, stereo, sunroof and the traction control on it but now the passenger seat doesn't work and was told warranty didn't cover that, traction control doesn't work and will cost $600 plus labor to fix, dash is coming apart at the passenger side airbag and ever since the wiring harness melted to the fan my radio is going crazy. that was under a recall I never received plus mine is part of the passenger airbag recall that I was notified of last year without a replacement ready to go in yet. If anyone gets hurt cause they wont or haven't fixed these problems I will be suing Ford cause I have called n called just to be told repeatedly I had to wait. WTF? I will never consider a ford again in my lifetime.

dash buldging around passenger airbag since the car was new

This Ford Fusion has been a great car, I thought I would research this issue as it is getting worse, the bulging started less than a year after I bought the car. this seems to be a common problem, yet Ford refuses to fix it, claiming it will cost $2k to fix, Please they use glue in Mexico where the car was assembled. There has to be a cheaper fix. Hello FORDMOCO!

It appears that the sun has made the dash pull away from the airbag cover on the passenger side. It looks ridiculous, and I'm not sure if it interferes with the airbag, but I'm go to send it to the Ford shop to have it checked anyway.

In the 2007 Ford Fusion there is a central glove box with a push button. The spring broke on the push button causing the button to pop out of the console randomly. It was more of an annoyance than an actual complaint, but since I was on here reporting on the AC issue, figured I'd add this to the mix.

The passenger airbag light comes on and off sporadically which means it turns on and off as it pleases. I was driving the other night when I struck a sofa in the middle of the road going 45+ and no airbags deployed, kinda scary to think they should have deployed.

I usually use the sun shade to protect my baby...but the crack happened anyway. It is very disappointing that a car only 7 years old is falling apart! I just noticed at the back of the rear window, the headliner is coming out!!! Another problem!!! Our Toyota never fell apart like this!!!

The dashboard is buckling/bulging in several spots, the most concerning one is near the passenger airbag. It makes me question whether the airbag will be able to deploy in case of an accident. The long vent towards the front of the car is separating from the dashboard due to the buckling. I haven't taken it into the dealership because I assume I'm not covered under any warranty. It looks mainly cosmetic and so I have just dealt with it. It's very ugly and I will make sure that my next car has a dashboard that is one hard plastic piece.

I have heard other people having this same problem and I hope to find a recall on this issue. It is not safe because it is around the airbag.

The dash is literally coming apart beneath the passenger airbag. After visiting the dealership and being told it would cost ( me) about $1500 to replace the dash, and assuring me the airbag "shouldn't" accidentally deploy, they gave me a number to call Ford customer service. No help there! I can't understand why I received a recall yesterday for FLOOR MATS (really?), yet they won't fix this potential safety problem.

I am told this is happening because of the hot sun shining on the dash. We cannot help that the sun shines on the dash and Ford should have considered this when manufacturing the automobile. Whether this affects the operation of the airbag, I don't know

I took my car to the dealership--the battery had failed for 2nd time--reported that the air bag dash has crack in it-IT IS UGLY--tacky-they told me that to repair this would be 1500.00 out of my pocket as this is not covered on the 100,000 mile extended warranty that I have.

The service manager at the Houston, Tx dealership encouraged me to report a complaint to FORD--I did so and they told me that their was NO SAFETY RECALL for this issue and that my airbag is situated perfectly..REALLY.. is it? my question was how do they know this--osmosis? The dash has a crack in it--all of my passengers ask the same question--"are u sure we are safe in this car?" my response is "I am not sure! but I have reported this SAFETY ISSUE to FORD! " the denial of the safety issue doesn't reassure me that it is safe--looks very TACKY!!

Ford has always been my favorite--but seriously NOT planning on purchasing another in the near future--plan for serious law suits if a hair is hurt on a single passenger! Really --I asked the ford "inspector" how can a SAFETY RECALL happen UNLESS we the CONSUMER start the recall--this whole situation leaves a bad taste to go along with the awful appearance of the car I used to be so proud to drive--and to make matters worse the DEALERSHIP never responded to my numerous requests for a re-look at my issue.

How can I put ANOTHER dashboard in? It'll just crack TOO!

My 2007 Ford Fusion up around airbag on my passenger side the leather is coming undone. I took my car to the Ford dealership where I purchased the car which is in Chatsworth, GA. They told me there had not been any recalls for the problem and to fix it they would have to take the whole dash board out and replace it the cost would be somewhere between 1400 and 1500.00 dollars plus the cost of labor. My car looks so tacking with that coming undone. I asked them if it would affect the airbag they told me no. So I called Ford Corporate and made a complaint, I received a letter back from Ford saying this problem would not be covered by under any warranty, and they would in no way incur any cost to help me get this tacky looking problem fixed. I can't afford a new dash board so everyone who rides with me gets to hear about how sorry I think Ford is this is most certain a manufacturer defect my car was made in Mexico, which makes me so mad I didn't discover this until it was to late. I have always purchased Ford vehicles I have purchase three brand new Fords, but after this experience if I ever purchase another car it will not be a Ford.
