Had my vehicle for only 6 months & got a recall notice, now I can't even GIVE it away & re-coop some of my wasted money. It's free to replace the part, BUT parts are at least a year on back order. People have died & it seems you actually have to die or be maimed before you can take any legal actions. Don't bother trying to trade it in, it's only worth a third now because it has a defect. Well, DUH............how'd that happen??? Ford is offering NO loaners, NO buy backs, NO special cash allowance to help their customers purchase another vehicle, NO compensation whatsoever. Their advice to me (and I quote) "just don't let anyone ride in the front seat". Well HELL, I'll be sure to duck when the metal pieces start flying. Or better yet, maybe I'll just put my kids in the trunk & drive from the back seat just to be on the safe side.
