The recall was issued in 2016, it's been almost two years and I have received no documentation from Ford about this recall. I now have a recall on the steering wheel that increases the likelihood of a crash combined with seatbelts that might not adequately restrain me and/or passenger in the crash. Sounds like a pretty awful combo. The recall states that no fix is yet available, but it has been almost 2 years. Recall number is 16S42

I was made aware of a recall involving the seatbelts on my 2014 Ford Fusion back in 2016. I've inquired multiple times about having it fixed and each time Ford has told me they don't have a fix. It has been 2 years now. I feel unsafe traveling in the car and having passengers ride in my car. It seems like 2 years is a long time to have a recall where your seatbelts could fail open this long without a remedy is frightening and irresponsible. I hope I am not involved in a car accident and they fail to restrain myself or someone else.

My vehicle keep stalling and cutting off mid driving. Its happened on tbe expressway and mid motion on the regular street.after I restart the car, it stalls but start back up. Sometimes it drives perfectly fine, other times it shuts down in the mist of driving, some days the engine light comes on and other times there is no warning lights on. This has been happening off and on for months. Its been hard to get a diagnosis since the engine light comes and go. My back middle seatbelt is stuck. It appears to be locked underneath the seat.

Nothing happened with the vehicle as of yet, but nearly 12 months ago a recall was made on my car's seat belts saying they "may not adequately restrain passengers" and they have not yet provided a remedy for this. A year is way too long for something involving safety in a crash.
