Brakes went to the floor on 11/16/2018. As a result, ran into back of another vehicle and car was totaled!

Fusion SE 1.5L Ecoboost

  • Automatic transmission
  • 48,000 miles

I had an ABS event a few weeks back to avoid striking a deer - ever since the brakes have been soft and no real confidence car will stop any more as before. The mechanic today says "Your master cylinder needs replacing - $500". Master cylindar at 50k miles? I mentioned the ABS event and some stuff I had read about the ABS system and the HCU (hydrolic control unit) -- he says the Master is leaking -- so they are fixing it now -- will report back if fixed properly or not.
