I am a single mother raising my 6-year-old daughter on my own. This past year has been extremely difficult, as my car has been constantly in and out of repair shops. I have spent more than $8,000 in the last year and a half on unexpected repairs, many of them involving serious safety issues. I was never informed about the recall and never received any notice. This situation has caused me a lot of stress and hardship, and I am asking for guidance and support to help me through it. On June 23, 2025, while departing my residence, I disengaged the emergency brake on my vehicle, subsequently hearing an unusual sound. Upon attempting to drive, I experienced diminished braking performance, and the brake warning indicator illuminated. The following day, I sought a professional assessment at Big O Tires. Their diagnosis identified a failure in the left brake hose, recommending the replacement of both. Following their recommendation, I proceeded with the necessary repairs. Subsequently, I received notification of a manufacturer recall addressing this specific issue. Consequently, I am seeking reimbursement for the previously completed service. Despite my attempts to obtain a resolution through direct communication, I have yet to receive a response, and I am now seeking assistance in this matter.
When my wife returned home from shopping she parked in the driveway I was going out so I had to move her car to get to mine. I saw a puddle of brake fluid on the ground and the brake light was on there was no fluid in the master cylinder. the car was towed to my mechanic and he found a rotted brake in the rear of the car up between the gas tank and rear seat right under a rubber clamp that holds the line this could have caused a tragedy. I connected Ford they said rusted brake lines are not covered even though they are coated.
I was driving under the posted speed limit on a road near my house going to pick my kids up from school. I was approaching a stop sign at an intersection and began to press on the brake pedal. The pedal traveled all the way to the floor as I was coming yo the stop sign. A driver was approaching me from the left headed east and my car went into the street past the stop sign and the other driver hit me which in turn caused his vehicle to roll over and mine was damaged as well which turned out to be totaled. The brakes began to work again right as the gentleman hit me. I never knew about the recall and when that happened I got onto the web and out in my VIN and saw it was recalled. I need to know what-??s going to be dealt with here!

My brakes are faulty sometimes I-??m not able to stop like I should. I also have transmission problems. When I put the car into reverse or drive I hear a loud boom. It is getting worse by the day. I see that the transmission is on a recall as well.
My brakes are grinding squealing/rattling and i have pads replaced, no rotor wear, not sure what-??s wrong. I-??ve brought my car in to be serviced 3+ times and have left with no fixed car and worse brakes. When i bring up issues with my car that are related to the recalls the car has, they tell me those recalls don-??t apply to my car although im having the same problems. My brakes have progressively gotten worse/louder and the pressure on my pedals is not the same. I-??m scared to drive my car and i have been trying to get it fixed for months. This is not the only problem im having, my gas tank -??farts-?? constantly and my car will stall and shut off unless i turn off auto start stop. There is no recall on this yet it-??s a KNOWN problem. It makes the car undriveable.
L/S Brake Hose Rear Replacement needed. Brake fluid leak rear caliper and brake hose and line rear flexible hose is split and leaking. Only Front brake hose was recalled when all brake all lines need to be replaced.
A recall notice was mailed to me from Ford in April 2023 for Safety Recall 23V162. I have not received notification by October 2023 on when to schedule the brake line repair. The letter states that it is anticipated to be remedied by the 3rd quarter of 2023.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving approximately 20-?"30 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed, but there was resistance, and the brakes was slow to respond. While driving approximately 50 MPH, the brake pedal was firm and had to be pumped several times to respond. The contact stated that the brake hose had ruptured. The brake fluid warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to get the vehicle off the road. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer and the contact was informed that there was brake fluid on the brake pads and the brake pads needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V162000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). However, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
My car started smoking out of nowhere, smoke was coming out of the tail pipe. My cars check engine light begin to blink. The whole entire car begin to shake. It was making a rattling sound, the car begin to slow down on its own, even though I was pressing the gas. It wouldn-??t go any faster than 65 miles an hour as the car begin to shake and make a loud rattling noise. My AC went out all of a sudden this was two hours after getting it serviced.
Due to transmission issues from what in hearing. The cars front end locked up while i was driving. I could not push the car out of the steeet. It is stuck in park. Luckily I wasn't on the freeway. But I was on a busy street and the police had to block the road.
I am getting the Shift system error and error u200296 when I get it scanned. The shift linkage keeps popping off and we have replaced it multiple times making it impossible to change gears
The shifting was not working when making the selected gear and it was driving in an unintended direction when it was selected reversed. The car was driving forward when the operation selects was in reversed. The car was accelerated by itself when I was driving the car and the dashboard did not gave me any warning light that something in the car need attention.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal; brake fluid was seen leaking from underneath the front passenger-??s side wheel. Additionally, the vehicle would not immediately start while pressing the brake pedal and START/STOP button. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 138,000.
Failure of vacuum pump caused the brakes and engine to fail on the highway. No warning indications appeared until after the vehicle was brought to a stop. The vehicle was diagnosed at Riser Ford. The mechanics claim that a plastic part in the vacuum pump system broke. After further research I found that this a common occurrence with the Eco boost engines. An investigation is warranted, Ford's negligence and poor build quality has become a safety concern.
