I had an episode of transient loss of power brakes and having the dashboard warnings light up like a christmas tree. If it recurs in traffic, it’s a safety hazard. I have contacted Ford about how to handle this. If I don’t have confidence that the car is safe, then I may need to purchase a replacement.
Regarding the actual problem, the loss of power brakes occurred after I made a low speed right turn at the bottom of a hill on my street. A google search revealed that there are a lot of complaints/concerns about intermittent loss of power brakes on Ford Fusions of that era. e.g. see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0r46_unyYk8
There are many complaints about braking problems to NHTSA for 2012 Ford Fusion:

This is problematic for Ford service dealer since they have not been able to reproduce it.
