The following problem has existed on this vehicle since the first summer I have owned it. When I place the gear selector in reverse or drive, the car surges, the RPM drops and fluctuates, and the vehicle either turns off or settles down. At times when I'm at a stop sign, I press the gas to go and the car hesitates and either stops or surges forward so I have to keep my foot on the brake and keep pushing on the gas pedal so the car won't stall on me in the middle of traffic. This has been an ongoing problem which has never been corrected by the dealership. I've taken the car to the dealership numerous times and have spoken to the service manager numerous times with no success. When I take the car in for service, I am always told the car was hooked up to the computer and that the computer found nothing wrong with the car. They've replaced parts on the vehilce but it continues to respond the same way. These problems always seem to be worse in the summer when the weather is hot and humid and has never been corrected. I don't know how to approach this matter. I know if I continue to take the car in to the dealership they are going to keep charging me for just hooking it up to the computer and finding nothing wrong with it when in reality there is something wrong with it. This has been going on for 7 years now and I don't know what to do.
