I just dropped my wife at the airport in fort Myers Florida when i was was a stop light with my 10 yr. old son at 9 p.m. it was dark out. i was behind 4 cars when the line started to move i pressed on the gas when about 100 feet and bang it sounded like the exhaust blew a giant hole in it but i heard a flapping noise so i pulled over immediately. i felt around the throttle body and felt puffs of air coming out the manifold. man was i shocked and stunned i didn't know what to do i had no choice but to drive it home at 5 mph when i got there i put it in the garage and there it has sat til april 19 2010. i had no money to fix it i just saved a few bucks so we will see if it is worth it. from what i read this bis ba bKNOWN problem with ford engines and they should be paying for tnhr repair not me. ford put a known defective product on the market hoping it wouldn't fail but it did. i need help with repair money. ford should step up to the plate and take responsibility for there failure.
