The actuator went out during a cold snap in early spring. This means I had it set to feet/defrost. A few days went by, I live in Texas, and suddenly it was scorching hot; I could not get the a/c to blow through the main vents (only feet or defrost). I realize my Mustang is 9 yrs old at this point, but I do have less than 60k miles.

When I turn my car on, you get the clicking noise for about ten seconds and then it goes off. My defrost works perfectly fine, rear defrost as well. Cold air always works fine too. My problem is either when I switch from cold to hot, sometimes the air never changes and just stays cold. Or if I have the defrost on (heat) and want to switch it to the vents, sometimes it doesn't switch. It is also followed by a loud clicking noise under the radio when I switch from defrost to cabin.
