Takata recall: Passenger frontal airbag inflator could rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental frontal airbags are designed to deploy. Per airbagrecall.com on 10-21-17 recall status is listed as incomplete. Remedy not yet available.
Takata recall received on July 2016 safety recall from Ford Motor Co., safetyrecall 15S21 frontal airbag passenger side, as of the date the local dealership I have been taking my vehicle for service keep informing me that they have never received these parts and have no idea if they will ever get these parts. Last visit was Oct 2017. I have called numerous time and the same response "don't know yet".
Called several times to have recall of airbags repaired and was told to just come in without appointment. When I arrived, they could only replace the driver airbag and reprogram module. The passenger air bag part is back ordered per Ford technicians and they do not know when they will have it. Apparently at least a 6 month wait. I have a toddler and a newborn and it concerns me that despite my efforts to have recall addressed, we still have not been able to be assisted on this completely. Concerned parent.
"takata recall" safety recall notice 16S26 (NHTSA recall 16V-384) delay in replacing passenger airbag is horrendous! received notice July 2016, and still no parts available...was told spring of 2017, obviously still nothing.

"takata recall". I was notified over a year ago from today, October 19 2017, about the recalls for the driver side and the passenger side airbags. I have had the drivers side replaced at my local Ford dealership, but they keep telling me there is no replacement/fix for the passenger side yet. It's been well over a year and I use this vehicle regularly with my 11 year old son in the passenger seat. I have anxiety every time I drive the vehicle and would like to let whoever needs to know that this is very unacceptable and it needs to be resolved now. Over a year for our safety is ridiculous. Thank you, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).'
Takata recall number 16V364 June 1 2016. Has never been completed and remains open. When I call the manufacture I am told they are waiting for part. Instructions say I should not allow anyone in the passanger seat incase I have an accident. I am 80 years old any I am getting tired of elling people that cannot ride with me. Is this part ever going to be available?

"takata recall" - when does it become a "if the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner" issue" I have a car that has a safe driver's side airbag, but a dangerous passenger side air bag. Aren't my passengers worthy to be safe also? why is it taking soooo long to ensure the passenger air bag won't injure or kill my passengers? NHTSA database on my VIN states the recall is there... but can't be fixed???? why ??" they were able to fix the driver's side.

Takata inflators - reference complaint no. 11006081 and no. 11006075 airbag R07eplacement - 2007 Mustang and 2008 Fusion: I found the following information on a Honda website - "the 'alpha' driver-front airbag inflators were the subject of the first takata airbag inflator recalls starting in 2008. In most cases, the previous owners of these affected vehicles did not replace the inflators under those recalls and, thus, the vehicles remain unrepaired. Now, because of the time that has passed, they are even more likely to rupture if the driver's airbag deploys in a crash. In fact, in testing done by takata, alpha inflators removed from vehicles in consistently hot and humid areas showed a rupture rate as high as 50 percent." Can I expect the same, higher percentage of kill rate, in the inflators in my 2007 Mustang and 2008 Fusion as they age, as found by Honda? I will pay to have the airbags/inflators replaced - request your office provide the correct part numbers and recommended place to have the work correctly accomplished. I did not receive a response from your office to either referenced complain, any information your office can provide is appreciated. V/R, tom
Takata recall Ford keeps harassing me with letters and emails but does not even have any airbags to complete the replacement this has been 3 years. If the company can't get the replacements they should notify the customers if they can get the replacements the next letter should be dated or when the customer can expect the recall bags to be available. If this would truly a safety issue my airbag should have been installed after the first recall notice I received. I have called several times to several dealerships and none of them have the airbags. Ford is cheating on this game

We have been trying for over a year to get these airbags replaced per your recall. We get constant reminders and every time we take the vehicle in they say they do not have the parts. We are frustrated because this recall is meaningless as the dealers cannot commit to a time frame of when the parts will come in. On the passenger airbag recall the dealers are saying Ford will not give any information on expected part availability.
