I purchased a 2009 Ford Mustang in January 2009. On Friday March 12th 2010 I had pulled out of work on a rainy day and heard an enormous rush of water entering from underneath my dashboard on the passenger side literally flooding the floorboard. I called the dealership that I purchased my vehicle from and they said they could not see me until the following Wed, I asked to speak to the Service Manager because this was unacceptable to me...Mildew and mold? no thank you! I want you to please find out why this has happened! The Service Manager asked me to bring my car in the next day...so I did. Long story short the Dealership called me and told me that my general warranty did not cover this flooding because it was my fault for parking in my driveway underneath a tree?!?!?!? WHAT??? He said that some leaves had clogged up the drain causing water to overflow behind my firewall and into my car. OK? Had I known that this was an issue or had they explained to me that this was a potential issue I could have had an opportunity to try an avoid it. Now they want to charge me an arm and a leg to fix something I feel is a design issue. This is unfortunate for alot of people who are not aware of this problem. Consumers deserve to know about issues like this one so they have a choice.
