This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I am having major electrical issues which Ford will not address. Sometimes this is intermittent, sometimes it is constant. Here is what happens: I get a barrage of errors on the dash, the radio and air conditioner will cycle on and off multiple times (sometimes will remain off); rear brake lights stop working, rear turn signal stops working. It does this randomly, sometimes for an extended period. I worry that someone may not check the brake lights or turn signal and be severely injured or killed in an accident. I have alerted Ford about this and believe that it fell on deaf ears. The car can be in motion, stationary, city, highway, rain, snow, sleet, or sun, driven aggressively or gently. Nothing seems to trigger the problem, it just happens. The car has been garaged a large part of its life.
The contact owns a 2011 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that the front passenger side and rear window tint were deteriorating. The tint was impacting visibility and was removed on the front passenger side. The rear window tint was not removed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer multiple times, but no remedy was provided. Upon making a turn or while traveling at any speed, the gears downshifted too fast. The dealer replaced the transmission, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 29,000.
