The contact owns a 2024 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the brake pedal felt loosened and squeaked while being depressed. The contact stated that occasionally the brake pedal would depress and remain on the floorboard. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had progressed over time. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer; however, the cause of the failure was not determined. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon further investigation, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V800000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 100.
