While driving my car would cut off. It would try to start but not turn over all the way. After a couple of hours the car would restart.I took the car to the dealership to find out it was my fuel pump control module. Which I see has been recalled in other vehicles like mine.

The driver side and passenger side door locks do not work with the key fob. At times they appear to be locked, but are not. This occurred after a recall where the interior door handles were replaced. It did not do it at the dealership so it could not be fixed under warranty. Now my car will not start. It started, then died and it cranks, but does not start. Eventually the battery dies. It acts like it is not getting fuel. The fuel pump assembly was replace (13S04) in July of 2014. There is a recall of the fuel pump control module (16S31) for cars 201301015, but mine is not one of them. It should be!

Vehicle quit accelerating while driving down a paved 45 mph road, wrench symbol appeared on the dash and engine ran rough. According to the owners manual the wrench symbol indicates that the vehicle went into reduced power mode. Had it towed to the shop and it started and ran normal for him. There were no active, pending, or memory codes in the computer system. It was driven 50 miles with no other problem occurring during the test drives. There are no recalls on this vehicle for this very dangerous condition even though there are many documented cases of the exact same problem.

My car was parked, I went to start the vehicle and it just cranks, the engine never turns. I'm told it's the fuel pump and that my car had a recall for this issue but my VIN doesn't show up in th search for a recall.

My Taurus stalled at a red light, the engine turned over, but would not start. I was in the middle lane of a very busy road. I was towed to a nearby service center. They had to replace the fuel pump control module and fuel pump and hanger with sender. It turns out that Ford had a recall for 77,502 2013-2015 Ford Taurus's for the fuel pump electric module. This part was overheating causing lack of power to the fuel pump. I talked to the service manager, victor hyer, at coconut point Ford, estero, fl and he in a very unprofessional way told me that it wasn't their problem, I needed to talk to Ford customer service. I had talked to them on numerous occasions starting 7/11/18 for my power steering failure, that Ford had recalled over 400,000 cars including 2013 Ford Taurus's (safer car complaint number 1112315) they would not let me talk to anyone above the level of supervisor.

On (4) occasions in the last 2 weeks, a wrench light has come on and my Taurus entered limp mode, causing a rapid deceleration with the inability to maintain a safe speed with other traffic on the highway. In all but one of these instances, I was in a center travel lane on a 4 lane highway where the flow of traffic regularly exceeds 65mph. The fact that this "limp" mode can initiate and reduce your speed as drastically as it does is certainly a safety concern.

Engine stopped running without warning. Would then crank but not start. Diagnosed the fuel pump relay as the problem. Removed and replaced and car started. Removed part was on recall list for different model Taurus and the Ford cars but not mine (2013 Ford Taurus sel). I received no recall notice. Ford fuel pump relay part number aa8A-9D412-ca with supplier P/N D7790045-0C was oem on my car. This part is listed as faulty on the Ford web site but not for my car model and I received no notice. This is a very dangerous failure mode.

Vehicle drove fine with no warning of any issues. Started car, drove from 1 parking space to the next and the engine died. Car would start but on stayed on for a few seconds, then stalled out again. Tried this over and over again, realized it wasn't going to actually run. Took it in to Ford, they diagnosed it having problems with the fuel pump module. I have seen several recalls on fuel pump modules in specific 2013 Taurus models, but mine isn't included.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Taurus. While driving 35 to 40 mph and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle stalled in the middle of the street. The contact made three attempts before the vehicle was able to restart. Afterwards, the vehicle drove normally. The manufacturer was notified and referred the contact to the dealer (coggin Ford jacksonville, 9650 atlantic blvd, jacksonville, fl 32225). The contact would be responsible for the repair since there was no recall. The contact researched and found NHTSA campaign number: 16V621000 (fuel system, gasoline) for the same failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 96,000.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Taurus. While driving 60 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The failure recurred several more times. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic. The contact believed that the fuel pump electric module was the cause of the failure and replaced the module himself. The contact spoke with bob-boyd Ford (2840 N columbus St, lancaster, oh 43130) who stated that the VIN was likely not included in NHTSA campaign number: 16V621000 (fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included. The approximate failure mileage was 193,000.

When vehicle is stationary ie stop for a light or a stop sign the R.P.M on occasions drops from 600 to less than 500 RPM and it start to shake, if if I am not aware it will stall. What worries me is that on a trip of less than 5 miles it stalled on red lights and stop signs the same has happen to family members. I have taken to the dealer and nothing is found ( also took it to a private mechanic the same result was given). Same year Taurus have been having fuel pump problems but my VIN is not register, lot of frustrations. This occur mostly in city driving ant the moment not on open roads, highways.

Won't start. Cranks but won't start. Fuel problem. Misdiagnosed as battery in May 2017. Misdiagnosed as battery again in June 2017. Now same issue in July 2017 & waiting to see what crap Ford tells me today. I have replaced the battery twice in 2 months based on the diagnosis that is obviously incorrect. Looking online, I'm finding I'm not the only unhappy 2013 Ford Taurus owner with this problem and other people have had to have a fuel module replaced. Of course when I tried to explain to my Ford dealer that I really didn't think it was the battery (especially a month after I replaced the battery) & that it seems to be a fuel pump problem, they told me people try to diagnose their cars all the time & I was wrong & that's what the code said so that's what it was, so I agreed for them to replace a one month old battery, I mean after all, it was my Ford dealer & they would know better than anyone, yeah right. I have 85,000 miles on my car & it appears to be in the mileage range when other people encountered this issue, based on the research I'm doing online. Now for the third time in less than 3 months, my 2013 Ford Taurus is in the shop with the same issue. This car left me stranded 8 miles from home the first time, 50 miles from home the second time, and 30 miles from home this time. I have kept up with all of the routine maintenance on the vehicle.

Smells of fuel inside the car and running sluggish. Noticed fuel leaking from near the front of the gas tank, dripping on to exhaust pipe. Having it towed to local dealer to have it looked at.
