Ford Windstar must be the worse van ford ever made. When it is not the doors not locking properly, it is the lights not turning off and draining the battery. It is either electrical or just poor car design. Do not buy FORD as it is probably going to go down with GM.

You know, its one thing to have to have regular maintenance on a vehicle every three months, its another when you are constantly aggravated by a bunch of damn lights that simply want go off? In result, a dead battery, being late for work because of this stupid sh*t. I do not recommend a FORD!!!!!! PLEASE DO NOT BY THIS VEHICLE!!!!!

We had the same problems as everyone else and nothing workrd. Then the door locks quit, and kept dying on us. We finally got fed up and traded it in for a Chevy!

Windstar GL 3.6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

interior lights have not worked and we pulled the fuse at 40,000 miles. The lights would not go out due to a door not making a positive latch and it would run down the battery. We finally disconnected the fuse and go without interior lights for the past 60,000 miles and I guess it will stay that way since this van is the biggest piece of sh*t I ever owned and never mind the $6000.00 I've put into this thing. We all got ripped when we purchased this Ford product!
