At times my temp gauge would drop to zero and the AC would not work. This was intermittent. I did some investigation and found out this is a common problem for this generation GMC Acadia.
The solution? Remove the upper intake and replace the temp coolant sensor. While you're in there replace the thermostat because this a five hour job and cost me $1,000, CASH.
