Drivers side brake light continues to loosen or burn out. We have replaced multiple times within the last year and within a month the light does not work again. There was a similar recall, 04V527000, on XL models, but GMC states this did not affect my model. The recall should be opened again and be extended to all Envoy, as I see many on the road with the left brake/tail light out.

Taillight bulb holder is failing. Have been through three. When a parts man at kelly Chevrolet was asked about this, his response was buy them in bulk"???" called GMC customer service. Was told I would have to pay for a diagnosis(file # 1-270417936) I notice alot of Envoy on the road with brakelights out. I think it warrants a redesign and recall.

After reading the following article, I check and my rear break light bulb driver side was burned out. Please, move forward with this recall!! I have a 2002 Envoy slt that is at 40K miles. Also, my rear driver's side electric window mechanism unexpectedly broke. Some cable inside. The dealer wants to charge $500 to replace the whole assembly. Can you say highway robbery? like mileage has anything to do with window usage. ap.tbo.com/ap/breaking/mgbhyys0sxd.html.
