Civic ES 1.6L V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 156,030 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

The very moment u start driving at low speed like 20-30km, the 1st gear changes with a jiggling style making the car shake but the remaining gears keep changing normally.

If you want to accelerate at high speed, the car changes normally.

that has been the only issue I am facing with my used vehicle.

Thanks.

Await to hear from you guys.

ZAKO.

We had the transmission changed at Honda of Bellevue. Last March there was something wrong with the car again. Since there was a recall for the air bags, we took it to Honda of Bellevue. They found nothing wrong with the car. Now there is still something wrong and we take the car to Auto Nation Ford Bellevue. They found out there is something wrong with the transmission again, the one we already changed in 2012. So I went to Honda of Bellevue and they said the only thing they can do is to test the car, a test that I have to pay fro of course. Then if they find there is something wrong with the transmission, I have to pay again for a transmission, all money out of my pocket

Civic LX 1.8L V4

  • Manual transmission
  • 140,400 miles

A whining and growling noise started to come from the engine, and seems to be coming from the transmission. It's happening: 1. when car is in neutral, clutch disengaged (rattling sound) 2. when in 1st or 2nd gear and releasing the clutch 3. when car in motion, clutch pushed and rattles more if gear is lower (faster, or so to say louder if for example in 2nd gear compared to 3rd gear, wheels moving); sound fades as movement slows down

I've found lots of other people online reporting the same issue, some of them are mentioning they had Honda assistance in repairing. I checked Honda website, entered VIN but result was "No current recalls for your vehicle". Has there been any recalls for this problem? How can I get assistance from Honda because they used cheap bearings in this model?

Please help.

I have an 03' civic and upon accelerating from a stop, there is a fairly good vibration. It doesn't last long at all, just about a sec or two. Auto shop just told be today they thought it was the tranny. Car runs fine otherwise, no problem shifting gears or anything, just that short vibration. Anyone have another idea what it might be.
