Civic DX 1.7L

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

NOTICABLE GAS FUMES, ESPECIALLY WHEN TURNING OFF ENGINE. REDUCED MPG, 6-10 PER GALLON.

DIAGNOSED BY INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. DISCOVERED 2 INCH CRACK IN TOP OF FUEL PUMP MODULE. VEHICLE MILEAGE IS 84,000. MECHANIC REPORTED THAT HE HAS HAD 3 HONDAS W/ THIS ISSUE IN 2 WEEKS.

THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE THAT HONDA DOES NOT ACKNOWLEDGE, COSTING OWNERS EXPENSIVE REPAIRS AND PUTTING THE SAFETY OF OWNERS AND THEIR FAMILIES AS RISK.

THERE IS A NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID # (07V512000) . I URGE ANYONE WHO HAS EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE FOR 2001-2007 CIVICS FILE A COMPLAINT WITH NHTSA. IT'S QUICK, 5 MINS, AND EASY.

THIS ISSUE DESERVES A RECALL.

I WOULD APPRECIATE HEARING FROM ANYONE WHO HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM.

My car is some how goes from for EX: 1/2 a tank of gas to 1/4 in 30 miles or so give or take a few and it is pissing me off. I had it fixed once but the problem has started again and with price of gas i am going broke going to work and back. If you have this problem please reply and we can get Honda to fix it right or recall the part.
