I took my car in a couple of months ago to check out a ticking noise when accelerating to shift. They did an inspection. I was advised that it's likely a transmission bearing problem as they had seen this problem before but not so common at my mileage. Went ahead and had the bearings replaced. I haven't had any other major problems with my car and have been quite happy with its performance up to this issue.
This came as a BIG surprise because my car is lady driven from new and I have kept up with all the routine maintenance.
