The seats are generally uncomfortable. The back of the seat is not supportive, especially compared to other cars I have driven. There is hardly any lumbar support. The worst problem for me is the head rest. It pushes my head forward and causes headaches and upper back and neck tension. I realized how bad it was when I was driving the Civic less (for a couple of months) and then started my regular commute again. I had so much more tension in my upper back and neck, and the headaches started again.

I know Honda is known as an affordable make of car, but investing a little extra in car seats would make the cars so much more appealing to customers! I really like my car, except for the seat problem (and road noise). But unfortunately, I don't think I will buy another Honda, unless the seats are improved.

After much careful research, I decided to buy a Honda Civic after owning only Toyota's for the past 20 years. To my regret, it was a very bad decision. The car drives and looks great, but the seats are horrible. At first I thought I needed to adjust to the car, but after 10,000 miles, I am in agony. My back and leg that presses on the gas petal are killing me. The driving position is all wrong and the headrests tilt forward causing your back to not press flat against the seat. Also, the seat bottom and back are so hard, you might as well be seating on a slab of concrete. I can't believe Honda designed such a bad seat. It has become so bad that I am writing this after spending the whole day in bed with a heating pad on my back. I have no choice to but to trade-in this piece of crap. I am sure I am going to lose a lot of money in the process.
