Civic ES

It was fixed and two weeks later, the noise of clanking came back no matter which way I turned my steering wheel, and the car is now being serviced again two weeks later.

Civic LX 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100 miles

Front driver side clunks and rattles at slow speeds during bumps or turns. Started at about 100 miles. Brought back under warranty, they noticed the problem and replaced it with another car's strut, ordering a strut to put on the other car. Car's now doing it again at 1500 miles. Will be bringing it back to have them replace it, again.

Civic LX 1.8L V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,000 miles

Bought a brand new honda civic 2010 lx, drove it for 1 week and noticed a hard thud noise as if I had no shock absorber working on the front driver side of the car every time I went over a bump or hit a hole of any size. Took to the dealership and was told 4 different things throughout the 3 day stay in the shop. The first day I was told "your car is fine, we just tightened some bolts and it is fixed". As I was on my way to pick it up I was told there is a problem with the strut upon further evaluation. The strut is on back order and will need to be ordered for the following day. The next phone call stated the part did not come in and will have to wait another day. The following day the phone call stated the part came in and will be installed asap. The next phone call said the strut is not damaged and the strut tower is to blame. The strut tower will need to be fixed and will not be covered under warrantly even though I just got the car a week ago. I was told I need to pick the car up and that the car is "fine" and ok to drive with no problems, but if i want the noise gone I will need to pay to have it fixed. UNBELIEVABLE SERVICE. Should this be put on a recall list and warranty should cover this right?

Civic EX Coupe 1.8L 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 3,100 miles

Pop, clunk, rattle. These are sounds that my car developed at the ripe young age of 3100 miles. Car left at dealership for one day. Dealer diagnosed as strut failure on the front driver's side. Unfortunately, the parts are on back order. They tell me the car is "safe" to drive. Once the parts arrive, I will need to take the car back for installation. I am concerned about the other struts as this one failed with so few miles on the car.
