The contact owns a 2012 Honda Civic. While driving, the air bag warning indicator illuminated, which was a safety concern. The vehicle was taken to Honda cars of aiken (550 jefferson davis hwy, warrenville, SC 29851, (803) 663-3636) where it was diagnosed that the driver side frontal air bag needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the repair fees. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 110,000.

I hope I won't ever have to find out if it is properly working in a car incident but it is a concern of mine if it were to happen that the airbag would not work. When it does occur it occurs when I'm driving.

Takata recall - my passenger airbag always turns off and gives me an error of the passenger air bag "off" indicator... whether an adult or teen over 65 lbs is sitting in the front passenger seat. This is dangerous and I didn't have money to check this issue out with Honda. They always do something crazy to my car and break something. Afraid I'll have to pay more money to get something checked out and I'll have to pay more money. This light goes on several times so I cannot give a specific date. I remember it occurring on thanksgiving day 2017 and it's occurred in December 2017.
