What the hell?! Alternator died! Hello, 48,000 kms only?! The dealership ignored the issue and made us drive the car back after slow cranking!
They knew something was wrong already. It was 7 days before the 3 year warranty was to end and if I did not explain to them that a slow crank could mean so many things and if I did not get angry, they would have left me in dust and let the warranty expire on me and make me pay for a new alternator. We had to make them pick the car up at home and do a thorough search for the problem. lo and behold the alternator is the culprit. Sneaky bastards. Our car has always been up to date with service at that Honda dealership and this is how they treat us. Trashy. Really trashy. As for the alternator, well Honda, that is trashy work. Really trashy. Never had a car that had alternator issue before. Also worried about the servicing on the vehicle, they might have seen other problems but kept quiet about them.
