steering problem
While on the highway I started to notice my steering sticking when making slight turns. I'm new to this issue but the more research I'm doing, the more I see I'm not the only one. Has anyone had this same issue, and if so what was the solution? I'm thinking its the electric steering motor or the entire rack and pinion.

When driving on a straight roadway and a slight correction is needed to stay in the lane the steering sticks when moving it to the left or to the right. It is "sticking" more and leaves a feeling of being unsafe and of not having control over the steering wheel, this is causing overcorrecting when only a slight correction is being attempted. Called Honda Customer Service at 800-999-1009 to leave a product complaints since there is no current recall for this issue but many other owners of same year, make and model are experiencing the same issue.

The steering of my 5 year old Honda Civic started sticking on the highway around 4 months ago. Found out, the fix would cost $4K, or about 20% of what I paid for it new. So annoying.
They are stating it needs a new electronic rack, which seems a bit brutal for a Honda.
Still weighing my options...

My Civic LX has been having this steering issue for close to a year. I have done everything including alignment and rotor/brake pad replacement and the issue still exists. It is a battle just to keep my car going straight and making any micro adjustments forces you to over compensate on the steering wheel. The steering is sticky and not smooth whatsoever. This needs to be fixed, I'm definitely not going to get honda for my next car.
