Dear Graeme Robert Seymour

RE: HONDA HYBRID CIVIC YEAR 2004 CJL274

I just came home from long holiday to reply to your letter dated 28 November 2012.

There is error in my part that I wrote 4.6 litres per 100 kilometres. It should read 4.4 litres per 100 kilometres for Civic Hybrid year 2004. I am talking about the Honda hybrid CJL274 year 2004 .I am not talking about Honda insight which is out of my sight. You have published the test result of Honda civic hybrid before 2004 as 4.4 litres per 100kilometer. Refer appendix 1 Graeme Robert Seymour you should scan your empty brain and go back and read your test result of Honda Hybrid 2004 and earlier if you don’t understand this take this to year one student.

Graeme Robert Seymour you and Toyota Prius both of you were advertising fuel consumption as 4.4 litres per 100 kilometres before 2004. I like to tell you that you drive the car in the laboratory; I drive the car on the road. There is nowhere on your web page says what would be the average mileage for driving on the road. Even your salesmen were telling the Honda hybrid civic petrol consumption is 4.4 kilometre per 100 kilometre. The difference between 4.4 litres per 100 kilometres and 6.8 litres per 100 kilometres is 54% which is very much unacceptable. Before buying Honda CJL274 I have driven Toyota Prius year 2000 Japan second hand import for 4 months the mileage of Prius year 2000 was on average 4.6 kilometres per 100 kilometres in short run in the city as well as long run on motor way. only 4.347826% more on the published mileage of Prius which is much better than Honda Hybrid which is 54.54545%. I have driven both the car in the same condition in Auckland and on the same road in New Zealand and filling the same petrol in New Zealand.

I am doing the maintenance of my car as per maintenance schedule page 251 of the driver’s manual, Appendix 2 For your information I change transmission oil at 40000 kilometres, oil purchased from Honda New Zealand Munakau Auckland. The transmission oil was flashed at 80000 kilometres. The Honda New Zealand new market replaced the transmission at 84946 kilometres; I am not sure if you have replaced the transmission oil or not as this do not show on the report. I am not sure you changed the transmission with new transmission or old or refurbished transmission this does not shows on the report.

I have bought the following form Honda New Zealand Manukau Branch: and do the maintenance as per maintenance schedule refer page 251 of user manual APPENDIX 2

1.0 Engine oil 10W-30 and oil filter. Changed every 10000 kilometre 1.1 The recommended engine oil for this car is 0W-30 or 5W-30 you are supplying wrong type of engine oil 10W-30 not good for the engine refer page 262 of user manual APPENDIX 3 2.0 Transmission oil CVT oil changed every 40000 kilometre 2.1 Recommended oil genuine Honda ATF-Z! Automatic Transmission fluid or DEXRON III Automatic transmission fluid as a temporary replacement flushed and refilled with genuine Honda ATF-Z1 as soon as possible. You are supplying fluid CVT fluid which is wrong refer page 274 of user manual APPENDIX 4

3.0 Brake pad 4.0 oxygen sensors fit in the muffler 5.0 fuel filter 6.0 Spark Plug 7.0 Air Filter 8.0 Transmission Replaced by Honda New Zealand New market 8.1 I do not know Honda New Zealand replaced with new or old Transmission

I have not bought these from Honda for maintenance of my car Honda Hybrid CJL272 1.0 Coolant radiator 2.0 Tyres 3.0 brake fluid 4.0 Battery 5.0 Bulb 6.0 Radio CD player 6.1 My CD was damaged Honda New Zealand has no technician to repair this they offered me on 17 December 2009 new Radio CD player for $3000.00 plus GST (total $3450 inc GST) this is a day light robbery other place the price is $229.00 with much more function and better with blue tooth USB. Even the sound quality is better than Honda Radio CD player. Probably both made in the same factory. See APPENDIX 5

I have purchased Honda CJL274 on 16 December 2006.

The communication with your shop is as follows:

1.0 5 January 2007 Cut new Key for CJL274 2.0 1 February 2007 taken car for the fault Honda New Zealand New market to check: see appendix ---------- 2.1 Brake operation 2.2 Fuel consumption Big fault can’t find the fault, Batric Hondason blaming me, my driving habit. Very poor management batric Hondason cannot drive test the car to show me the fuel consumption which I was prepared to pay the time Batric hondason spent on testing. This shows that Hondason has very little knowledge of Honda cars 2.3 Auto stop mode cannot find the fault. 80% of time auto stop do not function, Batric Hondason refuse to go on the road with me to check this auto stop. 2.4 Steering is very heavy-Batric Hondason could not find fault I can feel the steering is heavier than other cars 2.5 The wing mirror is faulty. They could not find any fault. The wing mirror is very flat like ordinary mirror. This mirror is not convex to view more area. One Allen checked the mirror again seen it flat. Allen did not made any comment about the mirror because the mirror is faulty a plan mirror. 3.0 On 10 March 2007 at 9.45AM I visited the New Market Branch Met Percy I asked about the if the key left in the ignition and the door is opened there is no beep. I was told not sure about this. Percy is not familiar with Honda hybrid. 4.0 On 18 October I visited New market Branch Discussed the fuel consumption with Alan. Alan told me there is nothing wrong with the engine and also Alan told me you cannot compare with other cars . In fact you are comparing Honda Hybrid with Toyota see appendix 6 So why I can’t compare. 5.0 On 18 October 2007 I called AA Rene discussed fuel consumption; she told me there is nothing wrong with driver something wrong with the car which has a very high fuel consumption. 6.0 On 19 October Alan called me he has booked to check again for the fuel consumption on 23 October and a loan car has been arranged. 7.0 On 23 October 2007 Percy checked the car and told me nothing wrong with the car. I asked him to do a test run on the road. Percy Refused and he will check with the manager and will let me know. 8.0 On 29 October 2007 at 4.53Pm received call from Percy who has given my concern to manager Batric hondason who will call me tomorrow on Wednesday. I never received any call from Hondason 9.0 On 20 March 2009 I received a call from Kevin asking me if I wanted a new Honda. I told Kevin that Percy or Chris supposed to call me in 2007. I am still waiting for the call. Kevin told me Percy is transferred to HQ and Chris no longer working that’s why I did not receive any communication. (I think I meant Hondason not Chris). Kevin called me again at 4.45Pm as he has discussed with Service Department and told me nothing wrong with fuel consumption, they will not test anything. If I want come and discus with service manager Hondason On 21 April 2009 at 8.30AM I went to New Market Honda New Zealand Met Chen/ Patel at the reception. They told me Hondason is out in the meeting as I wanted to discuss the fuel consumption for my Honda Hybrid car CJL274. He was in the meeting so I waited for a while. About 5 minutes time Hondason came to his desk Chen informed Hondason that I am waiting. I told Chen that looser will never challenge. He told me that’s my opinion. This is fact and the facts remain fact. I am sure If Hondason take this car to rally Hondason would be last. Chen defended vigorously about the performance of fuel consumption. Hondason was running around the office while I was there. Chen Told me Hondason will call me At 10.05 AM batric Hondason called me and told there would be no more test on my car as he would be wasting his time. Hondason will not do the drive test which I am willing to pay for his time in testing the car. This would add bonus to Graeme Robert Seymour 10. Further communication have been made to Honda New Zealand New Market I have not noted any communication as I have lost interest due to Batric Hondason’s negative attitude and behaviour and does know much about Honda Cars.

When I complained about the fuel consumption car has travelled about 22,000 kilometre and 2 years 2 months and 7 days old. I think at that time the battery was the same age as the car. The car was performing very poorly. Graeme Robert Seymour nobody says anything about the battery. Now you talking about the battery that it would expire in November. I checked the charge is reading the same as on 1 February 2007 and today. If there is something wrong with the battery Hondason should have changed it on 1 February 2007.

Quote “With an official ADR fuel economy of 4.6l/100kms, the Insight costs 40% less to run than the weighted average running costs of the hatchback market segment. /” unquote

This is rubbish go and check in your car yard your insight what’s their mileage is. Graeme Robert Seymour you must tell the public and your customers the practical mileage. Graeme Robert Seymour you must be driving your car in the lab, not me or any of your customers all that they on the road. Your Salesmen are telling that the mileage is 4.6 kilometre per 100 kilometre

http://world.honda.com/profile/overview/ dated 4 January 2013 Quote “Honda Motor Co., Ltd. operates under the basic principles of "Respect for the Individual" and "The Three Joys" - commonly expressed as The Joy of Buying, The Joy of Selling and The Joy of Creating. "Respect for the Individual" reflects our desire to respect the unique character and ability of each individual person, trusting each other as equal partners in order to do our best in every situation. Based on this, "The Three Joys" expresses our belief and desire that each person working in, or coming into contact with our company, directly or through or products, should share a sense of joy through that experience. In line with these basic principles, since its establishment in 1948, Honda has remained on the leading edge by creating new value and providing products of the highest quality at a reasonable price, for worldwide customer satisfaction. In addition, the Company has conducted its activities with a commitment to protecting the environment and enhancing safety in a mobile society” unquote

Now Graeme Robert Seymour where is your principle for the above quote. Graeme Robert Seymour you have the joy of sale to increase your bonus. I am not enjoying the purchase and you are not in desire to work with individual. Graeme Robert Seymour the Honda Principle is only on paper only. Graeme Robert Seymour you do not respect the principle. This is same as the fuel consumption is on the paper not practical.

Honda Philosophy http://world.honda.com/profile/philosophy/ 4 January 2013

Quote “Basic Principles Respect for the individual. The Three Joys (buying, selling and creating) Company Principle (Mission Statement) Maintaining a global viewpoint, we are dedicated to supplying products of the highest quality, yet at a reasonable price for worldwide customer satisfaction. Management Policies • Proceed always with ambition and youthfulness. • Respect sound theory, develop fresh ideas, and make the most effective use of time. • Enjoy work and encourage open communication. • Strive constantly for a harmonious flow of work. • Be ever mindful of the value of research and endeavor” unquote Graeme Robert Seymour where is your basic principles, company principle management policy. Graeme Robert Seymour you have refused to communicate to now see APPENDIX 7A & 7B Graeme Robert Seymour now you are asking me that the battery has expired that need to be changed. If Graeme Robert Seymour and Batric Hondason have the right mind, than the battery should have been changed in 2007 to correct the mileage. You have replaced the transmission at 85000 kilometre and within 40,0000 kilometres the transmission is faulty again the cost is likely to $8,000.00 and battery $1,000.00 and the radio CD player $3,400.00. Is it worth repairing when the value of the car is worth $12,000.00. This shows that writing off a car that has travelled 125,000 kilometres and 11 years old car are not worth owning. This shows that The Honda Hybrid is not worth the money spent. I am prepared to sell this car to you for $18,000.00 and you can dump this car at the PICK A PART. Because nothing is worth in this Honda Hybrid year 2004 except for the light bulb and the tyre. Honda New Zealand Manukau have invited for warrant of fitness for my car. The cost of warrant of fitness $45.00. The distance from my home to Manukau is 27 kilometre (return 54 kilometre) petrol costing 4 litre @ $2.25 =$10.00 .And my time @ $80.00 total cost of warrant of fitness $135.00. What a waste of money. I have my warrant of fitness 2 minutes’ drive from my house for $20.00. $45.00 is ripping off. refer appendix 8 Graeme Robert Seymour you should know that warrant of fitness is standard check, all of the garage’s check the same thing and give same standard certificate as you do. What a rip off. I now this will contribute towards your added bonus. Since I bought the car I have bought extra fuel costing $7020.00. When I bought this car I thought I will save in fuel. What a waste of money $7020.00 calculated as $7800.00 at the rate of 4.4 litre per 100 kilometre, less 10% as per your letter, road condition, whether condition, temperature condition, defective Honda hybrid car condition etc etc. Graeme Robert Seymour When you stop communicating with me anymore from 4 January 2013 APPENDIX 7A , Graeme Robert Seymour why are you sending this to me APPENDIX 9. Graeme Robert Seymour you should go and scan your empty brain and fill something good in your brain to retain what you are saying. It looks like you are worse than John Key. I told you that I am not interested with Honda, I have no faith in Honda, and I regret owning Honda car. I have no trust in you Graeme Robert Seymour your management, your managers, your technician, your engineers, your mechanic, and your front desk staffs who have no knowledge of cars.
