In process of pulling into a parking spot in front of a business, I applied my foot brake after which my vehicle fully accelerated, jumping (an approximately 12") sidewalk into a plate glass window. Fortunately there were no injuries.
The contact owns a 2016 Honda Fit. While in reverse, the vehicle accelerated on its own. The driver lost control and the vehicle crashed into a brick wall. The driver sustained an injured neck and back, which did not require medical attention. A police report was not filed. Kelly Honda (540 lynnway, lynn, MA) was contacted, but the cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 11,000. The VIN was invalid.
2016 Honda Fit. Consumer writes in regards to unintended acceleration. The consumer stated the dealer could not duplicate the failure. Also, the volume would elevate loudly on its own.
