At 7,400 miles all 4 rotors were bad and Hyundai would not replace them even though I requested them to be replaced. They said their policy was that they needed machined first. I explained I know that makes the rotors thinner and that it won't last but they would not replace. They machined all 4 rotors with no documentation of thickness of the rotors after the machining. At 22,000 miles brake rotors are now shot again and can not be machined so they want me to pay to replace all 4, even though I told them it was a band aid they put on from before when I had only had the car for 4 months and 7,400 miles and they should have been replaced then.
They refuse to replace them under warranty They claim it is my driving. lol .I had a Hyundai Tucson for 10 years and 130,000 and had rotors replaced 1 time. So no its not my driving. I have made a complaint to corporate with no success. They refuse to replace. On the internet it seems others are having the same problem as early as 1000 miles. When I took the car home from the lot I thought they brakes were jumping going down a really large mountain on the interstate in WV but I thought how could that be 21 miles the brakes can't be bad, but in reality I should have returned it then for a brake check. The 2022-2023 Santa fes had the same issue and Hyundai had a technical service bulletin out for a brake inspection and service procedure. I think they need to do the same for the 2024s also
