CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2011 Sonata has a seriously defective engine that seizes without warning. It was awarded the dubious honor of being the first CarTalk / CarComplaints Turd of the Week in late September 2015.
A class action lawsuit was filed in May 2015 against Hyundai that claims the 2.4L Sonata engine is defective. More info here.

I purchased this vehicle August 2022 and since then I know I have replaced the Mother effin headlight bulbs at least 5 times. That’s 5 times in 2 mother effin years. I don’t know about yall but headlights are not cheap. And not to mention this always happens at the most inconvenient time.
But the BIGGEST thing is THIS IS NOT NORMAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not to mention the flickering, the battery light coming on when put into bright. But I can’t even do that because those bulbs are out. And I am not gonna continue to funnel money into the mother effin cost of replacing 4 bulbs every other month. The lights alone suck ball sacks!!! My phone flash light is brighter than those (yes I’m gonna say it a mother effin gain) mother effin wanna be a night light head lights. WTF HYUNDAI.
~~~~~~~~~MAKE IT MAKE MOTHER EFFIN SENSE~~~~~~
Every year model except the 2011 Sonata has these same problems and a recall has been issued. What’s really going on with the 2011 HYUNDAI mother effin SONATA????
