As I was driving on 76 in Philadelphia pa my engine seized it wouldn't go over 5mph. I panicked because of the highway I was on that. I put my hazard lights on as I made my way over to the side. My car was towed to the dealership this is the 3rd engine that is being replaced. Th whole dashboard lit up prior to the engine and its still showing no recall on my car. Yet the dealership said its part of it. So now I'm waiting for a new engine once again. I just reached 72,000 miles. They did give me a loaner.

I have been receiving recall notices from Hyundai since approximately March 2022 for a fire risk related to the anti-lock breaking system, and to date they have not implemented a repair or fix or given any indication of the time frame in which I can expect a fix to be completed. I went to the dealer several months ago and they indicated that they did not have any information on how long it would be until a repair is implemented. I just received another letter this week (November 2022), almost 8 months since my first notification, and the letter states the same information. Hyundai should have to provide replacement vehicles or reimburse us for our vehicle. I do not feel safe with a car that can suddenly catch on fire. In addition, I cannot simply park my vehicle outside or away from structures. I work in a Government building and park in a public parking garage for work with hundreds of other people in a highly populated area with no street parking. Their suggested solution is nonsense and unworkable. I am concerned that they are not doing what needs to be done to get this recall handled. It has also diminished the value of my vehicle and I could not possibly sell it or obtain the same value with an open recall with no foreseeable solution.

I recently purchased a 2014 Hyundai Tucson from Carmax in Oxnard. The safety recall notice was not disclosed to me until I was signing the purchase documents. I've called Hyundai and they have stated there is NOT currently a fix for my VIN number.

Hyundai Motor Company, the manufacturer of my 2014 Tuscon, has exceeded a reasonable amount of time to provide a remedy for NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V056000 (recall 218). According to documents published on the NHTSA website, investigations relating to this recall have been ongoing since Sept. 2020. It is also stated that owners of affected vehicles were notified in March 2022. The "Dealer Best Practice" document (see attached) states that 14-15MY Tuscon owners would be notified in May 2022 that a remedy for their vehicle is still under development. I have not received any notification regarding this recall. Upon learning of the recall while scheduling maintenance, I contacted the manufacturer asking for a proposed date for a remedy, but they have failed to provide me with one or explain to me any options for alternative remedies. Vehicle manufacturers are required to both notify vehicle owners of recalls and provide a date for which a remedy will be available (Code of Federal Regulations Title 49, Subtitle B, Ch. V, Part 577). Due to the risks associated with this recall and the other safety recalls affecting Hyundai models, I have lost faith in Hyundai Motor Company and no longer feel safe having my current vehicle in my possession. I would like to request a refund of the purchase price of my vehicle in accordance with state and federal laws.

There is a recall on my vehicle that could cause it to catch fire whether parked or being driven. Hyundai has yet to provide a remedy for this issue and this vehicle is my primary transportation. I have been made aware of instances where other vehicles have caught fire that are under this same recall. I have children and this is taking too long for a remedy. I have also contacted Hyundai dealership and Hyundai Customer Care in regards to getting into a safer vehicle and have not been offered any assistance in this regard. I am being told that this will be just like any other trade in and the current cost of the same model is much higher. If Hyundai is not providing a remedy in a timely manner, there should be some soft of recourse so that owners are not driving unsafe vehicles.

March 2021 I had a problem with my brakes, took it to the local dealership and they replaced my master cylinder and brake pads. This was after I had already had total engine failure in December and had my car at a dealership in North Little Rock, AR for almost 3 months, I had literally just got my car back when i started having brake issues, no pressure. Now, it's January 28th and I suddenly had the same brake issue as the year before, no brake pressure. I could pump the brakes and get pressure and was hoping it was just a temporary issue with air in the lines or something. I called the dealership that changed out my master cylinder and brake pads in March 2021, as it was almost a year later. I dropped my car off on 2/11 at 7 am, it is 7/14 and they still have my car, they are saying there is no problem, but will drive the car again. I'm afraid that there is a serious issue and will get the car back and not have the issue resolved. And now seeing the recall issue with ABS and my car is part of that recall, I don't want something bad to happen, and if I don't say something in writing it will not be noted in case of a larger issue. And I feel like i'm having one issue after another with my car, i'm the only owner and have taken very good care of my car.

After less than 11000 miles had to have all the brakes and all the routers replaced on the Hyundai 2014 AWD Tucson because I heard a sound when applying the brakes so took it to dealership. They made me share the cost even tho the mileage was so low.

I was making a left hand turn through an intersection in the outside lane onto the entrance ramp to the interstate. Just before I completed the turn my vehicle swung wide to the right and accelerated, the drivers side wheel braked and locked and the vehicle continued to spin on that tire. When it came to a stop I was facing the direction I had come. Fortunately other cars were able to avoid me and I was able to move the vehicle out of the way. It seems this model had a known issue in 2005. (I did some research when I got home and stopped trembling.) I cannot find where anyone has reported this issue yet. This is a horribly dangerous problem. I'm very lucky and so are the people on the road with me.

Addendum to complaint #10806179: Dashboard warning lights that keep coming on and off and permanently staying on are the parking brake, ABS service indicator, 4WD system warning light, low tire pressure telltale. All of these warning lights tell you to bring to your dealer as soon as possible as severe injury or death could occur. I really think this is a safety issue that should be looked into. Thank you. Not sure where else to go with this; have sent Hyundai usa an email as well.

Vehicle has less than 9K miles; purchased new in February 2014. Thirteen (13) months after owning, all the warning lights on the dashboards came on and off randomly and then were on permanently (city driving); also power steering was gone. Brought vehicle to the dealer with no vehicle for 4 days. Picked vehicle up, drove home and three (3) days later (city driving), all lights back on. Brought vehicle to dealer; given loaner car for 9 days. Picked vehicle up, drove home (45 minutes on highway), two (2) days after city driving, called dealer to tell them that the problem was back again. Car has now been in shop for 12 days; dealer unable to find root cause. Not sure when I will get the vehicle back. Personally, I don't want it anymore; every trip to the dealer for me is a 45 minute drive...very inconvenient situation. I think it's a lemon.
