We noticed the AWD transfer case seal leaked while on holidays in Fla. We had the seal replaced at the local Jag dealer for $150 - Great! Except that one week after getting back home ( Toronto ), the transfer case bearings went. The reason being is that the transfer case is a SEALED unit at the factory and the lubricant level cannot be checked ( or added to ). It appears as if the seal leaked all the way down and while a new seal was installed, we'd lost most of the lubricant on the way to Florida. You'd think that in this day and age, the Jaguar engineers would know how to design a f%&#*g seal.

The transfer case had to be replaced at a cost of $7500 Cad - ( aprox. $6500 US )
