Summary
Replacement of Front and Rear Wheel Speed Sensors Due to Oxidation or Water Intrusion Setting Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) This bulletin involves replacing all four wheel speed sensors due to oxidation or water intrusion into the sensor. Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).B1 vehicles may have the following DTCs:C0031-01 - Left front speed sensor - General electrical failure. C0031-29 - Left front speed sensor - Invalid signal. C0034-01 - Right front speed sensor - General electrical failure. C0034-29 - Right front speed sensor - Invalid signal. C0037-01 - Left rear speed sensor - General electrical failure. C0037-29 - Left rear speed sensor - Invalid signal. C003A-01 - Right rear speed sensor - General electrical failure. C003A-29 - Right rear speed sensor - Invalid signal. M1 vehicles may have the following DTCs:C0031-1D - Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor-Circuit Current Out of Range. C0034-1D - Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor-Circuit Current Out of Range. C0037-1D - Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor-Circuit Current Out of Range. C003A-1D - Right Rear Wheel Speed Sensor-Circuit Current Out of Range. C0031-62 - Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor-Signal Compare Failure. C0034-62 - Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor-Signal Compare Failure. C0037-62 - Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor-Signal Compare Failure. C003A-62 - Right Rear Wheel Speed Sensor-Signal Compare Failure. C0031-2F - Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor-Signal Erratic. C0034-2F - Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor-Signal Erratic. C0037-2F - Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor-Signal Erratic. C003A-2F - Right Rear Wheel Speed Sensor-Signal Erratic.
