Car stalled out in the middle of the road out of nowhere. The car was on, but the gas stopped working. The emergency parking light turned on as well as the check engine light. I was finally able to move the clutch into neutral and someone stopped to help me push my car to the side of the road. The gas never started working again so I had to get a tow to the dealership. This was extremely dangerous as I was blocking a busy lane of traffic, and had just gotten off of the highway 2 minutes prior!
The vehicle makes these noises at times. Seems like the brakes at times then it drives ok. Took it in to the dealership they say nothing is wrong with the vehicle. Went to pick up my daughter. Had music on inside the SUV couldn-??t hear the noise seems like. She said, the vehicle was sounding loud before I pulled up to get her. I observed the sounds from underneath the vehicle a week after I purchased the vehicle. Each time I take it back to the dealer. No sounds. I-??m afraid to drive this vehicle. They think I-??m lying at the dealership. I-??ve been to the dealership for the headrest twice and the sounds. The warnings are not that great on the vehicle either. They work sometimes.
I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with my 2022 Jeep Compass. In November 2022, both the center digital cluster screen and radio screen went dim and have not returned to full brightness since. I have already taken the car to the dealer twice, but they have not been able to resolve the issue, and have advised me to wait for a recall. I am extremely dissatisfied with this response, as I am unable to view the screens during the daytime, which poses a significant safety concern for me and my passengers. It is unacceptable that a vehicle that is barely a year old is experiencing such a significant issue. I strongly urge Jeep to take immediate action to rectify this problem. I have already spent considerable time and money taking my car to the dealership, and the issue has not been resolved. As a loyal Jeep customer, I expect better service and prompt resolution of this issue.
Both the center digital cluster screen as well as the center radio screen have gone dim back in November 2022 and have not come back to normal brightness since. Both are not able to be seen during the daytime hours. I have had my vehicle at my local dealership twice and was told to wait for a recall and that there was nothing they can do. I cannot see my gas milage or gage during the daytime. I cannot view the digital speedometer during the day time either. I am at a loss on what to do with this issue. Jeep has provided no fixes. This is a safety issue especially during the day time. I cannot see my screens!
Center cluster on dash (fuel level, eco save meter, etc.) is stuck in night time mode. I've tried everything to reset so I can see my dash durning the day. Its so dark that I ran out of gas during the day becuase I could see my fuel level! dealership wants my vehicle for 5 days to figure it out and they dont know what to do. Fix this please! it started a month after I bought the car. (9 miles first drive, went dark around 3,000 miles, still dark after 10,000 miles) this is very frustating when you cant see your dash!

Forward collision sensor kept turning itself off, now my vehicle is telling me to service my headlights, 4WD, airbags and other sensors. Vehicle has also turned off while driving and deployed the AEB when driving. Have taken it to the dealership twice. Dealer contacted the manufacture which they were unable to determine the issue.
The vehicle was stopped at a light and the car shut off by itself. The electrical stayed on, but I had to put the vehicle in park, restart the car, and turn off the emergency brake that turned itself on. This incident happened twice so far for a 2022 compass bought in May 2022. The first time was around 3,000 miles in November 2022. The second time was around 9,300 miles on 03/05/23. Each time the vehicle almost caused an accident when the Jeep was stuck on a busy ramp. Will be booking an appointment with the dealership to have this documented.
I came to a stop at a red light. My auto start/stop turned off the vehicle as it normally does. I was making a right turn at a red light after yielding to oncoming cars. When I took my foot off the brake the car struggled to restart but did start moving forward slightly so I was moving into the intersection and into a traffic lane. The car shut off immediately again and the emergency brake turned on. I did not see any signals or warning symbols flash up. I was finally able to get my car to restart after turning it off completely and then back on again. Because when the car didn-€™t restart it had moved up slightly I was in the way of traffic and completely stopped where I could have been hit by another vehicle. I also could have been rear ended as the cars behind me expected me to move forward and my car suddenly shut off and would not drive. It seemed as though it stalled but I am unsure which system failed to cause this but it put me in a very dangerous situation.
2 issues 1 - false positive AEB while driving with no obstacles around on a rural road (speed and mileage below) 2 - backup camera delays, sometimes well into a reverse drive
The vehicle kept telling me that stop start is unavailable service stop start then there would be a battery on the left side on dashboard showing. Then it would say stop safety vehicle will shut off soon. Called both dealerships by my house to see if I can get the vehicle serviced one of the advisers told me the vehicle would not shut down that it would be okay to drive out of town. Brought my jeep into another dealership and their adviser told me the same thing. Last night 12/25 I was able to pull my car into a neighborhood before my vehicle completely shutdown I had it towed to my house.
The infotainment systems volume fades to the point where nothing can be heard. This impacts: radio, but also Android Auto/Apple Car play for audio alerts, jeep assistance and hands free call functionality. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they confirmed Jeep knows about the issue and it will require a software update - TBD. Meanwhile, my new vehicle is useless for any kind of audio functionality. This is a distraction while driving and poses safety concerns.
Digital display in the center instrument panel can't be seen in daylight. There was not a ambient light sensor input to control the display backlighting for daylight. This missing sensor causes digital display to default to night. So you are unable to see any warnings, gas, temp, menu, cruise control, etc. This display is also tied to the 7" screen and it causes that screen to not be programmable as well. S2208000157 has no replacement part, no remedy. I am driving a unsafe, defective vehicle that can not be repaired. This is documented in the letter I was given by the Service department at Jeep in Foley AL. Jeep Service, Jeep Wave, BBB, lemon law attorneys all say this needs to be resolved by the dealership. They aren't doing anything and consumers need to be aware. I have a video of the screen but it will not upload.mov
