- Summary
- Outer Tie Rod Ball And Socket Noise This bulletin involves removing, greasing and reinstalling both tie rod outer ball joints. The customer may describe the following: Outer tie rod ball and socket noise. Noise noticed during steering wheel rotation after vehicle mileage between 1,000 km (621 miles) and 3,000 km (1,864 miles) and when the tie rodsachieve a temperature greater than 60 °C (140 °F).
