Didn't drive it much it was being towed by a R V So it didn't matter. Before that at 60000 It over heated and blew a head gasket. I had them replaced and again at 140K it happened again I keep our autos serviced all the time I had it replaced by my grandson who had a shop. Then I would drive it once and a while because my wife like the way it rides Last week we were going sight seeing and blew a head gasket again Is there a better gasket set that will hold up better I want to keep our jeep

Grand Cherokee Limited 8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 140,200 miles

I bought this vehicle from Honda in Grand Forks. Traded in an old tahoe that ran fine for 1000. Waited one week to get the jeep because they replaced a seal and transfer case and they said they were getting it all ready for me to drive in tip top condition. W/I 2 days the warning light came on. I had it hooked to a computer. I t said it may be the coil or spark plugs so I took it back to the deaolership and they said nothing was wrong but they did move some sparkplugs from place to place w/i the spark plug area. I took it home and less then a day later the light came on again. I called the dealersehip again and they told me to drive it there. On August 21 the dealer ship had said they fixed the issue and replaced all wires and spark plugs. Two days ago I got off work and driving to Argyle mn to have supper with my parents and other family at a get together on the way there I felt a surge and then the light came on again before I got home it was gettin hot (the temp of the jeep). I put on the hot air and the temp went down. Yesterday I drove to work and on the way home the jeep was starting to get hot again and I turned on the hot air full blast but this time it did not help I made it home but the thermometer was 3/4 to the max. I Opened the hood and there was some coolant in the reservoir telling me it was not low on coolant. This is enough to make me want to scream at someone. and I did call my dealership and told them what I thought after all I just bought this vechicle and they said they had it inspected for problems. I haven't even had the vehicle long enough to make my first payment due yet. I am needing to borrow family vehicles and I am stranded at work until someone picks me up. I am so stressed out that I feel literally sick to my stomache.
