THERE IS A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR OF MY 2006 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE . ITS A LOUD HUMMING NOISE. I HAD IT CHECKED BY A MECHANIC WHO HAS SAID IT IS THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL. I WAS TOLD THIS IS THE REASON MY TRANSMISSION DOES NOT SHIFT PROPERLY. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT BECAUSE OF THE ELECTRONIC COMPONENT OF THE DRIVETRAIN THE FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH (ANOTHER COMPLAINT) COULD BE THE CAUSE OF THE DIFFERENTIAL ISSUE .
