Severe clunking from the drive train that shakes the car. Several mechanics including Jeep dealer have not been able to identify the problem. It happens mostly when accelerating under load like up hill or when towing bat can also happen at any other time. There is oil coming from join from shaft to transfer case.

It appears it may be CV joint or U joint. CV joint is nearly $800 just for the part and not being sure if this will fix it, I almost need to wait until the thing fails all together.

Update from Nov 27, 2019: Turns out I had older tyres on the front and the rolling diameter between front and rear was out by enough that the clutch in the transfer case had to slip to compensate. The car was working perfectly this is a case of operator error... My bad... Back in love with my Jeep.
