The contact 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact had received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V699000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) and the vehicle was taken to the local dealer for the recall repair. The vehicle was repaired. After several months, the contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed and approaching a stop sign, the contact saw in the rearview mirror that there was steam coming from underneath the rear of the vehicle. The contact kept driving and the vehicle became overheated and stalled. The contact parked the vehicle at a parking lot and added water to the coolant reservoir. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the EGR valve was cracked. The contact took the vehicle back to the local dealer however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacture was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 151,000.

It appear def system and cat converter not properly designed vehicle in 3 times for same failure code P20ee all issues relate to emissions and sensors there's a pump and a screen or two but clogs crystallization are what cases vehicle to initiate a countdown timer til engine stops my vehicle in for repair now this is issue for diesel vehicles only I am also on Jeep website or more so forums everyone seems to have this problem.
