During even minor rains, sunroof leaks.

First noticed a few weeks after I purchased it. Wife heard sloshing under her feet and after exploring, I found the battery compartment under the passenger seat was nearly completely full of water - luckily there are drainage holes. A few weeks later, I noticed the sound again, so I just removed the drainage hole covers permanently so it drains as it fills.

The water soaks the sunroof cover and drips down onto me and the armrest - it's even filled up my sunglasses holder/garage door opener housing and drips down onto the infotainment screen. I've cleared the weep holes with an air compressor and tried to seal the gasket from the exterior and interior but no luck. There is a piece of black felt on the the interior that's exposed when the sunroof is closed that appears to always be wet - I think it wicks the water from the exterior to move to the weep holes. I removed that yesterday, so we'll see if that's a fix.

Dealership wanted a few hundred to investigate but said they'd never heard of or seen that issue and it could get expensive to spend that much time searching for a cause. I opted to deal with it.

Update from Aug 6, 2020: After a few weeks and some heavy rains, the sunroof leak appears to have been corrected by removing the piece of velcro/felt. Unclear how permanent a solution this is, though. Will update.
