My 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee -??electric stability control-?? warning light appears on the dashboard. My vehicle accelerates/decelerates unexpectedly. With young children in my vehicle daily, this continued incident puts my family at risk. After inspection from my Jeep/Dodge dealer, a faulty transfer case has been identified as the issue.

I was driving back home and was travelling at around 30miles/hr on a street. All of a sudden my car dashboard started flashing and all the indicators in the dashboard started to flash.. The vehicle started to accelerate and brake at the same time... The engine made a strange weird sound. I had to put the emergency parking lights and pull over slowly. Luckily I was closer to home, so drove back home with the hazard lights on.. The car moved very slowly with the engine accelerating and braking at the same time. Next day, I had the car towed to the dealership and they also saw the same issue. They indicated the Throttle Control Module was behaving erratically and have to re-flash it.

My car recently started making a grinding noise that got bad really fast. I had it towed to the dealership to get a diagnostic test done. I was told that it was my transfer case that was making the noise. Now this caught me by surprise because I had no warning lamps on my dashboard or no messages alerting me of any problems that would point to it needing servicing done it just happened out the blue. Because of this problem my car has a hard time accelerating and this is no good to me because I live in Atlanta Georgia where there is nothing but Highway and hills. My car makes a constant grinding noise no matter how fast I-??m going or how hard I press on the gas. With the acceleration of the vehicle being bad I have almost been in a few incidences where people have almost rear ended me. An inspection by the manufacturer has not been done as of yet. I would just like to know what can be done about this especially because my car STILL has no warning lamps and the grinding is so bad that I can no longer drive it.

My wife and kids almost got killed in this vehicle twice this week due tot The Can Bus electrical communication network stop working. It completely stopped on the highway while driving 70 mph and almost caused a multiple car accident. All the controller icons lighted up on the dash board and the car shifter and transmission stopped working. I towed it to the dealership and paid $700 for a new shifter. The next day the vehicle did the same thing. This is a dangerous situation that needs to be recalled ASAP. Someone is going to get killed driving one of these vehicles. I researched this problem and numerous reviews found on the same issue 2014-2022 all electric Can Bus operated drivetrains jeep. Please recall my 2017 Jeep before it kills my family and you will have a astronomical law suit on your hands. Mr. Tyrone Albert.

I was driving on highway and the stop safely your car about to turn off popped up then my lights started flashing and the whole car shut down. I couldn't steer or brake so I had to shift into neutral and hope for the best. It scared me to death. My children were in the car. I just replaced the alternator, both batteries and had the vehicle reprogrammed and 2 days later that happened.

I was stooped at a red light on a hill when the light turned green all lights in car turned on the brakes went out and the steering wheel locked. I was on a hill and almost crashed into a wall. I had no control over the car. Don't know how this happened. I was able to mange and pull to the side of the curve. I turned the car on and off a few times and the car went back to normal. I was very lucky I didn't crash into the wall or another car. This was at a busy intersection and I could have kiiled myself or and someone else. I have not driven the car since only my husband because im very scared. Today the malfunction light come on and we don't know if this is related. We called Chrysler and explained the situation but they can only schedule an appointment to see the car on 5/17/2021. This is a very serious issue and im surprised they wont see the car right away. And told us to wait another 5 days. I don't trust this car until it gets checked.

While driving the entire dashboard went black. It comes back on occasionally after re-starting, but continually shuts off at random times. I can't view my speed, RPM, and gauges, or gas levels. Blinkers will work sometimes other times they won't.

When driving the motor starts racing and the RPM's go way up. Most times it does it when you first take off. You have to come to a stop, turn the motor off and start all over. Occasionally, this may not work. The repairman cannot find out why because it is not doing it when you take it back to the dealer. Not easy to deal with when in traffic and it is burning gas like crazy. It first did it coming back to nc from fla on 95 after the hurricane. I don't know the exact day. My girlfriend followed me from S.C. to jacksonville, N C to make sure I got home with it. Has done it several times right after I take off with it.

The contact owns a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. After the contact's wife parked the vehicle in the driveway, she leaned over to get her purse and stepped on the accelerator pedal. The gear was in park; however, the vehicle sped off and crashed into the wall of the garage. The vehicle was scheduled to be repaired at the local mechanic. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 26,000.

I am the original owner for 10 months. Several times over the last ten months, when stopped and then depressing the gas pedal fully without cruise control or launch control engaged, the throttle continues to accelerate even though my foot is removed fully from the gas pedal. It forces you to put the car in neutral and brake until the throttle becomes "unstuck" and the rpms of the engine come back down. I am mechanically inclined and have checked to see if the floor mat or something around the pedal or pedal mechanism was causing the pedal to be stuck but there are no indications of any mechanical interference. I have read from other owners who have had a similar issue with the high performance trims (srt and trackhawk) of the Grand Cherokee. Again cruise control and launch control were not activated in any way. I know there was a cruise control recall for throttle sticking but this is not being observed with the cruise control set or on. Is this perhaps a related issue ??

Driving on the interstate in wy, 70-75mph, rolling trrain, cruise control on. All of the sudden the vehicle de-acelerated. The transmission was in automatic when this occured. Both of my hands on the wheel when this happened. Tried to re-acelerate, but the vehicle was very sluggish. The gear was stuck in high gear, which would not change until I pulled over, put the gear in park, and then in drive. No injuries, no damage, but I don't want this to happen again. Could have been a badproblem if I was in heavier traffic. When I got home I recieved the recall notice for udden acceleration with the cruise on.

The contact leased a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While attempting to reverse into a parking space, the vehicle jerked violently and the contact lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the contact crashed into two parked and unoccupied vehicles. The vehicle came to a stop when it crashed into some bushes. Another driver assisted the contact by attempting to reverse the vehicle out of the bushes; however, the vehicle continued to jerk. The vehicle was towed to sterling heights Dodge Chrysler Jeep (40111 vandyke avenue, sterling heights, Michigan 48313, (586)-939-3900) where it was awaiting diagnostic testing and repairs. A police report was filed. The contact's head struck the headrest and steering wheel, which did not require medical attention. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.

While operating the SUV in cruise control, it was necessary to brake and re-accelerate while driving on the interstate. However, upon pushing the pedal to increase speed, it took between 10 to 20 seconds to increase the speed from just 60 mph to 70 mph. This happened repeatedly over a period of 30 miles. It was very concerning as I was not able to clear traffic properly. I stopped at a rest stop and tried to do the same acceleration from 0 mpg. This time however, the car 'hung' at 5500 RPM's when I reached 75 mph. I had to move the gearshift into manual mode and back to and unhang it. I reported this to national rent-A-car upon my return. I want to make sure this is reported. I felt unsafe.
