The power steering and the lane sense became unavailable simultaneously while driving down the highway at 65 MPH. The Jeep suddenly lost power steering and started veering off the road to the right. It was almost impossible to steer. This happened the day after I took the Jeep into the dealership to have the cruise control re programmed because of a recall. The message "Power Steering Unavailable Service Required" and "LaneSense Unavailable Service Required" both showed up immediately after the malfunction occurred.
The tow truck driver pulled the Jeep onto his truck and off of his truck and experienced no power steering. Once the service man entered the Jeep the power steering worked perfectly. They could not find a problem with the Jeep. I am terrified to drive this again.
