The bolt that holds the liftgate motor on top snapped in half with trying to open. I used the button on the remote to open the lift gate. I heard a loud pop noise as it was trying to open then when I finally got it open I noticed the bolt was snapped in half. Luckily the bolt broke going up not down. If it had broken going down it could have landed on my head or one of my kids. I have reported it to the jeep dealership where I purchased my vehicle from a little over a year ago. There was no warnings prior to opening the hatch. I did some research to see if this has happen to other people and it has. Some people where not as lucky as me and had it fall on there head. The website i found this at was Jeepgarage.org and then found out the dodge durango has the same issue and the website for that is dodgedurango.net I really hope this gets fixed and recalled before people start getting injured. It is such a small bolt for a heavy door.

I have two Jeep Grand Cherokees ([XXX] and [XXX]) with the leather wrapped dash. Like many others, the leather is peeling up and wrinkling, raising into the field of view of the windshield and I-??m also concerned with how this might affect air bag deployment on the passenger side of the vehicle. I know of at least 15 others online experiencing this issue and they get the same run around from Jeep. The dealer looks at it with a $130 diagnostic fee, then tell you it-??s not covered. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Leather dash is delaminating. You issues service/recall repair for 2011-2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee in 2019 for same issue. This has not been resolved issue is all over the internet and owners are furious with fca for not fixing the issue. Seems to happen just outside of warranty around 42000-60000 miles. Mine was at 42500. I don-€™t know what to do. This is getting into my lower part of windshield impeding my vision outside my windshield. The service/recall needs to be extended to include subsequent vehicles with leather dash boards. From 2014-present.

I purchased a new 2018 Grand Cherokee trailhawk edition last fall that was factory equipped with "rock rails". I have discovered that the factory specified jacking location "pinch points" are obscured by the rails and no longer accessible using the supplied jack. There are "cutouts" in the rails but they are not large enough to allow access to the jacking location points. I had the first service performed at the dealership and showed them the problem. They also could not locate a safe jacking location using the factory supplied tools. It is potentially very dangerous to attempt any type of tire change procedure using the supplied factory jack on a Grand Cherokee with the rock rails option. Serious bodily injury and/or death could result if the vehicle was to slip/fall off the jack while following the procedure outlined in the factory user's manual. I have contacted us corporate Jeep several times via email and phone (3/15, 3/17, 3/27, and 4/2). They assigned case #58203148 to the issue but have not yet provided any suggestions or remedy to the problem. I have not received any response from them other than "they're looking into the problem". consumer stated the cutout is not large enough for the 'U' shape cusp of the jack to engage and provide a secure lift point. You will also notice that the rock rail pinch point is offset 90 degrees to the original lift points of the vehicle. This means you'd have to align the jack stand parallel with the vehicle rather than perpendicular.

I was traveling South on cambridge rd. As I was approaching a shopping plaza, a vehicle was attempting to exit the parking lot of the plaza also heading South. As the vehicle was attempting to make the left hand turn, it pulled in front of my car, driving me off the road. I had to swerve out of the way to avoid hitting that car, and when I did I crashed into an electrical pole, destroying the entire front end and totaling the car. The airbags did not deploy and this is why I'm filing this report.
