Problem has not been able to be reproduced by the dealer. They reset codes and took on a test drive and was not able to reproduce the issue. Vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other than the dealer. Currently Check Engine Light is on with Air Suspension Fault Light on as well. There was no warning to the vehicle losing power.

When the transmission warms up to operating temp, the first gear shift is extremely rough from a stop. It is most noticeable when accelerating on a highway. It is even worse when utilizing Sport mode. The best way to describe it, is a jerking motion or the transmission failing to shift in time. This is an everyday occurrence and not a random one. My concern is the transmission will fail in the middle of driving on a busy highway. The car has been to the dealer and according to them, this is -??normal operation-??. It has not been inspected by anyone other than a dealer and no warning lamps are on. This has been an ongoing issue since the date of purchase.

Dashboard showed Transmission Error Message: Service Transmission Continue in D, Do Not Shift or Turn off Engine Until you Reach a Desired Location, You may not be able to shift again until serviced. Vehicle was stuck in 1st gear and would not shift out for 5 minutes. Taken to dealer with engine light on and shown pictures of error messages and dealer found nothing wrong with vehicle. This all happened on a highway and I had to navigate from high speeds to slow and stop in the exit lane.

On 10/07/2023, about 7:30 pm, I was driving down 6th Street in Beaumont California at about 30 mph speed when all of a sudden the engine made a horrible loud noise and it looked like the accelerator pedal was suddenly hit. It seemed that the vehicle speed did not increase accordingly, but my foot had released the gas pedal already. Once I confirmed that the noise was indeed coming from my car, I pulled over and turned off the engine while the loud noise was continuing. Then I restarted the car and the problem didn't reoccur this time. Then, the car has performed normally.

Driving Screen, Swaybar Disconnect systems, Airbags, TPMS, Driving controls such as blinkers, and emergency flashers. The car was functioning normally, with no anomalies or error messages, including through phone notifications. The battery charge was nearly complete. I engaged Electric-Drive mode and used regenerative braking to recharge the battery on my way to town. Approximately 30 minutes into the drive, and with the battery at 99% charge, I heard a loud pop. It sounded like it was coming from the right-side passenger control arm. Shortly after, my dashboard was illuminated with warning lights, including a check engine light and notifications about air suspension and sway bar disconnection, airbags, tpms sensors, and more. The car decelerated dramatically; The dashboard screen flickered on and off as if rebooting. I got the vehicle safely, but during that time, the car seemed to be in limp mode, unresponsive to acceleration, and stiffer than normal breaking. The steering was also affected. I realized that if I had been on the highway, this could have caused a severe accident. Screen, Powertrain, and drivetrain fail while traveling 45+ miles an hour. It is a small 2-way road in turn with mild car and foot traffic around. The dealer has confirmed the issue as an issue that has been present in past vehicles in this model category. The car had been in my possession for less than 24 hours/40 driven miles.

There is extreme vibration in this vehicle and it gets worse daily. I believe there is something terribly wrong with this Jeep and it's not due to poor alignment. I also experience very hard / stiff bounce back when on bumpy roads. Something that should not be so bad with this type of Jeep. I recently met a woman with a 2022 Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve who said she is experiencing the same exact things. I don't think this is a coincidence.

Transmission started leaking and spraying transmission fluid while driving. Fluid hits exhaust and then smokes and burns off. Jeep has replaced various parts however it appears that the ZF transmissions are failing / have cracks in the housing. Dealer acknowledges the problem. Upon the 2nd failure dealer had us tow it to the dealership. The Jeep is now at the dealer waiting for a response from FCA on what is to be done. This is occurring on a number of Jeeps - both Grand Cherokee 4Xe's and Wrangler 4Xe's. No warning lamps - just a burning smell when driving. We have concerns about catastrophic failure while driving. Also concerned about potential fire due to the fluid leaking onto the exhaust system. Was first discovered by the dealer during routine maintenance. Regarding my dates: I noticed the burning smell when the Jeep was new - Thought it was just the normal burn off of materials on a new vehicle. This leak comes and goes more often after long trips.

Incident #1 - Power steering issue. While exiting the driveway, I lost power steering along with unresponsive controls such as "lane management" and "traction control." Alert on dash read, "power steering unavailable, " and engine light was on. After turning the vehicle off, power steering and other controls returned after about 20 minutes of occasionally turning the vehicle off and on again. Service was performed with a "software update." Incident #2 - About a month later, while driving on the road, I abruptly lost power steering and the ability to accelerate, as the gear shift disingaged and was unresponsive. I pulled over to a rolling stop and tried shifting gears but the gearshift still would not respond. I then turned the vehicle off, waited a few seconds, then turned it back on. After doing so, all controls were restored. I didn't check for warning lights. The vehicle was not taken in to get serviced. Safety risk - Had these malfunctions happened on a busy street, it definitely could've caused a serious accident, as my control of the vehicle was very limited. The vehicle is available for inspection.

On February 23rd 2023 I picked up my new 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe from conway Jeep in South Carolina. On the way home I noticed my foot kept slipping off the accelerator pedal and wasn't sure what was causing it. When I arrived home I noticed the accelerator pedal was made from a slick piece of plastic and didn't have a rubber cover or anti slip material installed like the brake pedal had. I contacted the jeep dealership and asked if jeep forgot to install one at the factory and if so please have one sent out. A representative spoke with their techs to order a new one and they stated jeep doesn't offer that part nor was it on the entire pedal assembly to order. They ended up checking all their grand cherokee 4xes on the lot and they all came like that. Jeep corporate office was notified on Feb 28th 2023 reporting my safety concern about having a pedal without any type of grip to help prevent a person's foot from slipping could cause a vehicle accident. The representative stated jeep does not make a part for that nor were they planning on fixing this safety issue and I should just go to an auto parts store to find something for it. To my knowledge every other vehicle that jeep currently manufactures has rubber material on the accelerator pedal. I also thought manufacturers were required by law to have some type of anti slip material on the accelerator, brakes, and clutch.
