Received a recall noticed about the first of the year concerning the fuel tank. I have since had my Jeep in for a tune up twice and both times I have been told that they do not have the part in yet. And that the factory has not done anything about replacement parts. I keep calling and have been told the same thing from the parts department...part not in, factory is not sending any parts. I purchased this vehicle brand new from a Jeep dealer and have only had my Jeep serviced from them in the past 9 years.. does this warrant a complaint.

An ongoing problem with the fuel gauge is that whenever I fill up I can drive about 20 miles (more or less) and then all of a sudden the engine light and gas light come on and the fuel gauge goes all the way to empty. Which can be pretty scary the first time you see it happen and you're going 75 mph on the interstate. The second problem is the suspension. Any time I turn the steering wheel it creaks. Riding over even barely bumpy roads causes my car to creak and groan. It shakes horribly when driving between 50-55 or even idling but gets better when I take my foot off the gas, apply the brakes, or go at higher speeds.

The dealer did not give a specific date when the parts would become available. When the fuel was full there was no click to ensure tank was full. The contact had to let go of the fuel pump and fuel had poured out intermittently. The service engine sensor was also illuminating intermittently. The contact had to adjust the fuel cap to get the sensor to turn of which works but was only an interim fix for the failure. The manufacturer was also contacted and could not provide an estimated date for when the contacts vehicle would receive the recall repairs. Dyd

Safety recall notice N46 / NHTSA 13V-252 states that parts are not yet available. This recall was issued months ago yet parts are (still) unavailable. We consider this to be a high priority recall notice since it relates to dangers associated with the fuel tank in a rear end accident. I contacted our dealer today and as of June 10th 2014 parts are still unavailable and there is no time-frame given on when parts will be available to correct this dangerous condition. We believe this recall should be expedited.

Hello my name is [xxx] and I recently learned that my Jeep Liberty is up for a recall the letter from the dealer says the fuel tank on your vehicle has a small chance of experiencing a fuel leak during certain types of rear ends collisions. Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source can result in an underbody fire. I already went to the dealer and they say that they don't have the parts, that was on February and they haven't contact me. I don't speak english so please contact me in spanish. Thanks and have a good day.
I just registered a 2005 Jeep Liberty I went to the gas station to purchase gasoline. The fuel tank will not allow me to pump fuel into the tank. The fuel back lashes and shoot out of the tank. It took 20 minutes to pump $20 worth of fuel at pumping.50 cent worth at a time then allowing it to settle.
