During winter months, the Jeep would never get warm unless you were driving. Jeep has so many other issues but really sucks in negative weather sitting at a light with no heat or letting it run for 15 to warm up, which will never happen.

I'm a truck driver and only drive my Jeep on weekends. Now that the weather turned cold, I warm up the car before taking off to run errands only to find there was NO heat but cold air blowing to defrost the windows. With the engine being warm and once moving it turns warm and cozy again when stopped it turns cold again. I replaced the fan resister under the glove box during the summer which controls each fan blower speed. Any thoughts?

The heater blows cold air while idling, making it impossible to warm the Jeep up now that the weather is cold. Can't defrost the windows. While driving, warm air blows out. If I stop at a light, and idle, the cold air starts blowing again. Checked the radiator overflow tank, added some premixed antifreeze to top it off. Noticed the right side of the tank is empty, should it be?

Fixed the blower myself. It was only working on high, #4. That was an existing problem and not too bad of a fix. $20.00 RU1045 resistor and a You Tube video showing how to replace it. This heat problem though, is more serious. I caught my 17 year old driving it with ice on the windows. He's allowed to drive it, but now I am concerned with the visibility problem. I have read that other Jeep Liberty 2006 owners have had this same problem, replaced the heater core (expensive), and still have cold air blowing. So many issues with this vehicle.
